Yoko Takahashi: EVANGELION Nocturne — Hong Kong
Yoko Takahashi sang A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, the 1995 opening theme of Neon Genesis EVANGELION. Her tour, EVANGELION Live Tour 2026 -Nocturne-, starts in Taipei and passes through Singapore, Hong Kong and Seoul before ending in Tokyo. The Hong Kong show is on Saturday 16 January 2027 at TIDES, inside the ship-shaped Whampoa complex in Hung Hom. So far only the date and venue are official; prices, start time and ticket outlets will be announced city by city.
A Cruel Angel’s Thesis, the 1995 opening theme of Neon Genesis EVANGELION, has earned multiple gold and platinum certifications.
She also sang Soul’s Refrain, the theme of the film Death and Rebirth, and an acid-bossa Fly Me to the Moon.
TIDES opened in October 2025 inside the ship-shaped Whampoa complex in Hung Hom: a Live Nation venue for about 1,500 people, built around 360-degree sound.
Compared with an arena, a mid-sized room like this puts you much closer to the stage and to her voice.
