5 Seconds of Summer — Auckland
Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer formed in Sydney in 2011, and their sixth studio album, Everyone’s a Star!, came out in November 2025; the band calls it their most ambitious era yet. The new tour plays Spark Arena in Auckland at 7pm on Saturday 24 October 2026, with Australian band Cub Sport opening. The floor is standing, with reserved seats on two tiers around it; tickets still on sale on 13 October ran NZD 137–404 including VIP packages.
Four Sydney teenagers started out posting covers on YouTube in 2011 and broke through opening One Direction’s tour; She Looks So Perfect topped the charts in four countries in 2014.
They became the first band (not vocal group) whose first three studio albums all debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200, and Youngblood had the second-longest run at No. 1 in Australian chart history.
Their sixth studio album, from November 2025, is what the band calls their most ambitious era yet, a deliberate return to heavier rock, with the singles Not OK, Boyband and Telephone Busy.
They wanted to extend the tongue-in-cheek tone of their debut and lean further into irony and satire, with visuals drawn from Y2K and 2000s fashion.
