HKGNA Music Festival 2026
This year’s HKGNA Music Festival runs under the theme “Breaking Boundaries, Inspiring Tomorrow”: from 30 October to 19 November, four concerts across East Kowloon Cultural Centre, Tai Kwun, Hong Kong City Hall and Youth Square in Chai Wan. Opening night brings Korean crossover star Danny Koo and tenor Phillip Jeong with Hong Kong’s Vicky Fung, Timothy Sun and Andrew Ling; flautist Jasmine Choi leads 9 November; the other two nights belong to young players chosen through the HKGNA International Music Competition.
Danny Koo, who both plays violin and sings, tenor Phillip Jeong, Cantopop songwriter Vicky Fung, saxophonist Timothy Sun, violinist Andrew Ling and pianist Alex Wun share the stage, with the HKGNA Strings behind them.
On the same stage are young musicians from Hong Chi Association, Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired and Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong, performing alongside them.
The Korea Times calls Jasmine Choi the “Goddess of the Flute”, and Sinfini Music named her one of history’s top ten flautists. In an orchestra the flute is one voice among many; tonight it stands at the front.
She plays with the HKGNA Young Virtuosi, a young ensemble picked from the HKGNA International Music Competition, conducted by Andrew Ling in the Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall.
On 4 November at JC Cube in Tai Kwun, four past competition winners take turns in solos and duos: violinists Sophie Leung and Chloe Chan, pianists Alex Wun and Jetthew Lee. The night ends with them joining violinist Brian Choi, violist Caleb Wong and cellist Yan-ho Cheng in works for piano and strings.
On 19 November, Stars of Tomorrow brings ten young pianists, cellists and violinists who won prizes at the 2025 competition.

Each concert is ticketed separately; there is no festival pass, and the venues are in Ngau Tau Kok, Central and Chai Wan, so plan each trip on its own.
The flute night is for ages 6 and up; check the ticket page for age rules at the others.
No programmes are announced yet, and the presenter may change artists and programmes.
Stars of Tomorrow was not yet on sale when checked on 27 September.
The festival uses four reserved-seat venues. The historic City Hall image represents one stop only; use official ticketing for each route and seat plan.
