Metallica · Mohegan Sun Arena 25th anniversary — Uncasville, CT 2026

To mark Mohegan Sun Arena’s 25th anniversary, Metallica play two nights there, on Thursday 19 and Saturday 21 November. It is the band’s first time at the arena and their first show in Connecticut since 1998. The arena seats about 10,000, far smaller than M72’s stadiums. The two nights are a No Repeat Weekend, with different setlists and different guests. Both nights are sold out.

What draws you to this experience?

Ten thousand seats, and much closer

Mohegan Sun Arena seats about 10,000, and Metallica call it intimate.

After M72’s stadiums, even the back row here is far closer to the stage.

Live concerts

Two nights, two setlists, two guests

This is a No Repeat Weekend: no song is played on both the 19th and the 21st.

The guests on the 19th are Suicidal Tendencies, the veteran California hardcore band where Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo once played; on the 21st it is Canada’s Spiritbox, a metalcore band.

Live concerts

An arena’s 25th birthday

Mohegan Sun Arena opened in autumn 2001 with a pre-season game between the Celtics and Michael Jordan’s Wizards, and has held more than 3,000 events in 25 years.

These two nights mark the anniversary, and are Metallica’s only Northeast dates in 2026.
