Three empires’ court treasures, from the Louvre to Singapore.
Crosscurrents: Masterpieces of Mughal, Safavid and Ottoman Art from the Musée du Louvre
Crosscurrents brings about 100 masterpieces from the Louvre, many from royal collections, to tell the art of the Mughal, Safavid and Ottoman empires between the 16th and 18th centuries and how they gave power a visible form. The Asian Civilisations Museum sets its own Southeast Asian collection alongside them, on a route from the Islamic Art Gallery on Level 2 to the Design Gallery on Level 3. It runs until 24 January 2027 and is free for Singaporeans and permanent residents.
