Fifty years of folk by the sea.

Port Fairy Folk Festival 2027

Since 1977 the Port Fairy Folk Festival has filled this seaside town every Victorian Labour Day long weekend, with music spilling across stages, streets and halls for four days; the festival calls itself one of Australia’s most loved regional festivals. The 50th festival runs from Friday 5 to Monday 8 March 2027. The line-up so far includes Kate Rusby, the English singer called “folk royalty”, on her first visit to Australia; the Grammy-nominated duo The Milk Carton Kids; Arnhem Land songman Ngulmiya with Catalan guitarist Pau Figueres; and John Butler Trio, The Waifs and Sixpence None The Richer among others. One ticket covers every venue and concert for all four days; the programme comes out in February.
