National Folk Festival 2027
Fresh from its 60th year in 2026, Australia’s National Folk Festival returns to Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC) over the Easter long weekend, Thursday 25 to Monday 29 March 2027, with concerts, dances, workshops, sessions and family events where artists from Australia and around the world collaborate and audiences join in. The 2027 theme is Participation — Making Culture Together: Teeny Tiny Stevies headline the family and youth program with concerts, Family Storytime and a Teeny Tiny Choir, Canberra’s Warehouse Circus perform and teach, and Summer McCall (USA) leads a Youth Dance Ensemble that learns to run its own Family Ceilidh Dance. A lantern parade fills Sunday and the Festival Parade Monday.

Venue & travel
Exhibition Park in Canberra (EPIC)Exhibition Park in Canberra is on Flemington Road, Mitchell; arrivals by bus, tram or drop-off use Gate 2, and most ticket holders and campers use Gate 7 at the northern end.
Entry & companions
Season tickets give entry all weekend; Season + Camping adds general camping on site from Wednesday noon to Tuesday noon. Under-5s are free, and under-18s must be with an adult ticket holder. Day tickets come later, and tickets are also sold at the gate. Tickets are general admission and do not guarantee a seat at any particular concert once a venue is full.
