Marie Antoinette Style — Seoul
The National Museum of Korea and the Victoria and Albert Museum present Marie Antoinette Style, with about 190 objects: Marie Antoinette’s own belongings and the later fashion, decorative art, crafts and installations she inspired. Starting from how the 18th-century French queen fashioned herself through clothes, interiors and taste and shaped the style of her day, it shows the many images she has carried, from a symbol of luxury and pleasure and an object of longing to a victim of revolution and a fashion icon, and how they keep being reworked in art, fashion and popular culture today. It runs from 18 December 2026 to 31 March 2027 in Special Exhibition Gallery 2.
