Lahore Biennale 04
Founded in 2018, the Lahore Biennale has drawn international attention over three editions by bringing leading artists and curators into dialogue with Lahore’s distinctive historic and modern sites. The fourth edition runs from 27 March to 25 April 2027, curated by Nav Haq, Associate Director at M HKA in Antwerp, under the title The Shape of Coexistence: responding to a multipolar world, it treats Lahore as a historic and contemporary centre of art and ideas from which to imagine new solidarities and forms of exchange, with plurality and social equality in focus. 2027 marks 80 years since Pakistan’s independence and Partition. During the opening days (27–31 March), Lahore also hosts the 14th General Assembly of the International Biennial Association and its first Regional Meeting, the first assembly held in Pakistan.
