Web Summit 2026
Web Summit fills Lisbon’s MEO Arena and the FIL halls next door: opening night on 9 November, then three days of talks, exhibition floors and meetings. Confirmed speakers so far include Cloudflare’s Matthew Prince, Atlassian’s Mike Cannon-Brookes, Arm’s Rene Haas and Bolt’s Markus Villig, along with Economist editor-in-chief Zanny Minton Beddoes, European Commission Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, tennis great Maria Sharapova and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
Cloudflare’s Matthew Prince, Atlassian’s Mike Cannon-Brookes, Arm’s Rene Haas and Replit’s Michele Catasta are all on this year’s list: from chips and network infrastructure to coding tools, each layer has someone in charge of it there.
Also listed are Economist editor-in-chief Zanny Minton Beddoes and Henna Virkkunen, the European Commission’s Executive Vice-President for tech sovereignty.
The exhibition floor is row after row of startup stands, each waiting to show you what they make.
Past attendees single out the day-three startup pitches on the main stage: a few minutes per company, with the stage and the room both judging who will go further.
The speakers also include tennis great Maria Sharapova and Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, listed as footballer and investor.
On a tech conference stage, you may also see people you know from the court and the pitch.

The talks were a bit of a letdown for me. I was hoping for more technical stuff and the opportunity to learn more.
Attending does not guarantee investor or customer meetings; seeing the people you want depends on arranging it beforehand.
Startup and investor programmes have their own eligibility and are not the same as a general ticket.
The speaker list confirms who is coming; topics and times are in the official schedule, and being on the list does not mean they take private meetings.
One 2025 attendee found the talks broad, with less technical content than expected.
