A long Easter weekend of jazz.
National Jazz Festival 2027, Tauranga
The Port of Tauranga National Jazz Festival, run by the Tauranga Jazz Society, reaches its 64th edition from Thursday 25 to Monday 29 March 2027, over the Easter long weekend. Artist registrations have closed and the 2027 programme comes out in early December. For a sense of it, 2026 brought the New Orleans-style Jazz Village at the Historic Village, with an outdoor stage, indoor concerts, markets and food trucks; the National Youth Jazz Competition, now 48 years old, for secondary-school players; and shows such as TNT, mixing Māori vocals with big band jazz.
