Montreux Jazz Festival 2027
The 61st Montreux Jazz Festival runs from 2 to 17 July 2027 in Montreux, Switzerland. Founded by Claude Nobs in 1967, it grew from jazz into soul, funk, pop and rock. The 60th edition in 2026 drew more than 250,000 attendees to over 700 concerts and activities, with ticketed stages 91% full on average; the renovated Congress Centre reopened and the free stages stretched further along the lakeside quays. The 2027 line-up and prices are not yet announced.
At the 60th edition’s opening night in 2026, RAYE moved through tributes to Nina Simone, Prince and Ray Charles before Alicia Keys appeared as a surprise guest.
Mark Ronson joined too. Alicia Keys noted it was the same night Nina Simone had played there fifty years earlier; concerts here often talk back to the festival’s own history.
Much of the 2026 line-up was a new generation, many of whom grew up on Montreux’s classic concerts.
Liniker, Loyle Carner, Ezra Collective and Vulfpeck were among them. Come here to see that tradition being picked up.
In 2026 the festival redesigned its free stages and extended the route along the lakeside quays.
Without a ticket you can walk and listen along Lake Geneva; with one, you can linger here before and after your show.
