Two people, one artist, one life’s work.

Gilbert & George: Art Exhibition (Tokyo)

Gilbert (born in Italy, 1943) and George (born in England, 1942) call themselves one artist, live in London’s East End and always appear in matching suits; they won the Turner Prize in 1986 and represented Britain at the 2005 Venice Biennale. This is their biggest show in Japan for 30 years, at the National Art Center, Tokyo, from 17 September to 20 December 2027, sixty years after they met in 1967; it opens first at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art in summer. Tickets are not yet announced.
