Avalon Australian International Airshow 2027
The Australian International Airshow is held every two years at Avalon Airport, its home since the first show in 1992, about 20 km from Geelong and 54 km from Melbourne. Trade days run from 23 to 26 February 2027, and the public comes from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 February: daily flying displays from military jets and aerobatic teams to vintage planes; Australia’s largest static aircraft display, from corporate jets, emergency helicopters and airliners to military aircraft, historic warbirds, gyrocopters and autonomous systems; and a General Aviation precinct where you can see recreational, vintage and airsport aircraft up close and talk to the people who design, maintain and fly them. Friday Night Alight is Australia’s only night airshow, with aircraft and parachutists trailing lights and pyrotechnics across the sky before the Wall of Fire finale.
