Ashikaga Flower Park Flower Fantasy 2026–27
Ashikaga Flower Park’s winter illumination, Flower Fantasy, reaches its 25th edition from 17 October 2026 to 14 February 2027. More than five million lights, almost all LEDs, dress the 100,000 square-metre park; it has been named one of Japan’s three great illuminations for the third time, and in November 2025 won the top annual prize at the International Illumination Awards. Its signature scenes are the Miracle Wisteria, which plays out a bloom in light from first flowers to falling petals; the Earth for Everyone, doubled in its reflection on the water; and Snow World, a mural of light across a hillside with snowmen and snowflakes. The theme changes through the season: Christmas from late November to late December, and winter peonies from New Year’s Day.
