World Athletics Championships Beijing 2027

The 21st World Athletics Championships run from 10 to 19 September 2027 at the National Stadium (Bird’s Nest) in Beijing, the city’s second Worlds after 2015 and the first Chinese city to host twice. More than 2,000 athletes from about 200 member federations are expected. The mascot, Jingyan, grows out of 2015’s swallow Yan’er, returning to the nest after 12 years. Tickets are not yet on sale; you can register for the presale on the World Athletics site.
