Tokyo Marathon 2027 is on Sunday 7 March, its 20th year. The gun goes at 9:10am at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, and the route runs via Suidobashi, Kanda, Nihombashi, Asakusa’s Kaminarimon, Ryogoku, Monzen-nakacho, Ginza and Hibiya to finish on Gyoko-dori in front of Tokyo Station, with a seven-hour limit; the wheelchair race starts first, at 9:05. It is also a Japanese selection race for the Beijing World Championships and the Los Angeles Olympics, so the elite race up front will be fierce.
