2026 Rolex Shanghai Masters
The Rolex Shanghai Masters, Asia’s only ATP Masters 1000, runs 5–18 October at the Qizhong Forest Sports City Arena in Minhang. The entry list includes Sinner, Alcaraz, Zverev and Djokovic, a four-time Shanghai champion. Qualifying is on 5–6 October, the main singles draw starts on the 7th and the finals are on the afternoon of the 18th; after play on the 16th, Federer returns to the centre court for a legends doubles exhibition.
Sinner wants back the title he won in 2024, Alcaraz and Zverev are still after a first Shanghai crown, and Djokovic holds the tournament record of four titles.
In the early rounds top players are on several courts at once, a short walk apart; by the second week every eye is on the centre court.
In 2025, Valentin Vacherot came through qualifying ranked 204th and won the title, the lowest-ranked Masters 1000 champion ever.
His opponent in that final was his cousin, Arthur Rinderknech. This year he returns as defending champion: whether the miracle becomes a habit or ends here will be settled on the Qizhong hard courts.
After the day’s play on 16 October, Federer returns to the centre court for a legends doubles exhibition.
It is not an ATP match and the score hardly matters: you are there for that one-handed backhand and the ease of him back on a familiar court.

Night sessions and later rounds sell out faster.
Qizhong is in Minhang, far from the city centre, so arrange a ride or shuttle for night sessions.
Entry uses face recognition, and overseas visitors need passport details to buy tickets and enter.
The entry list can change through injury.
The Federer exhibition is not an ATP match, and not all partners and opponents were announced when checked.
Centre Court has reserved seating. No historic price chart or seating plan is reused; an interactive seating plan requires separate verification.
