Three days of rugby, three days of party.

Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2027

The Hong Kong Sevens began in 1976 and celebrated its 50th edition in 2026, when 113,395 fans came through the gates over three days: South Africa’s men beat defending champions Argentina 35–7 for their first Hong Kong title, and New Zealand’s women beat Australia 19–14 for a fourth straight Hong Kong crown. From 9 to 11 April 2027 it returns to Kai Tak Stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park as the opening event of the HSBC SVNS World Championship, followed by Valladolid and Bordeaux. The official site says the Fan Village stays open until 10:30pm daily, so the party carries on after the final whistle.
