Hong Kong Mid-Autumn Lights: Moonlit Bunny Crew
This year’s Mid-Autumn light installation is a moon-rabbit film crew: landmarks from Hong Kong’s 18 districts become bright geometric miniatures, and rabbits with cameras and lights seem to be shooting a film of this tiny city. It is on the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui, lit nightly 6.30–11pm until 11 October, and free.

Each district’s landmark is simplified into a geometric shape, and together they make a small Hong Kong.
Walk round and you will spot the district you live in or know; that moment of recognition is the fun part.
Some rabbits carry cameras and some hold up lights; they are more than a photo backdrop.
They work like a real film crew, one on camera, one on lights, every lens on this tiny Hong Kong; step behind a camera and you are filming the city too.
Every night at 8pm, buildings on both sides of the harbour light up for A Symphony of Lights, visible from the waterfront beside the Cultural Centre.
Across the water the towers light and change colour one by one with the music, beams sweep over the harbour, and with the rabbits behind you it all becomes one evening.

This is the light installation on the Cultural Centre Piazza, not the Victoria Park lantern carnival; other venues have different programmes and dates.
It is outdoors, so on-site arrangements and weather warnings apply.
The lighting only shows after 6.30pm.
