HANNOVER MESSE 2027
Hannover Messe 2027 runs from 5 to 8 April (Monday to Thursday), 9am–6pm daily, at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds. Mechanical and electrical engineering, digital and energy companies all gather here, and the 2027 partner country is Spain. No need to learn model numbers first: start by asking about the movements, materials and energy use you can see. The award winners below are 2026 examples.
Last year Schaeffler won the HERMES AWARD for a unit for humanoid robot joints, combining the motor, control electronics and position sensing in one.
At a demo, watch whether the arm stays steady under load and whether a movement stays precise after many repeats.
Startup award winner BTRY showed a solid-state battery 0.1 mm thick, which the company says charges and discharges in a minute and works in high heat.
If you build wearables or small sensors, ask in person how it fits into a product and how it supplies power.
